Your Guide to Getting Your New Website Up and Running
Eggy Web Design aim to make things as painless as possible, so here’s a handy guide to how the process will run. There are two basic stages of creating a website:
- Design
- Build (also known as Coding)
What You Will Need
Ideally, before the designer begins they will have all relevant materials to be included in the website such as:
- Photos
- Text
- Logo
- Music
- Video
- Information about registered domain names
Photography & Copy
Eggy Web Design also have access to professional copyright-free photography and can write suitably keyword-rich copy for you based on your information.
The Design Process
The first step is to design the Homepage to provide you with a clearer image of how the whole site will look. You will be able to view your Homepage as a PDF document and work with the designer to get the design right.
Once the design of the Homepage has been approved Eggy Web Design will provide you with a PDF of the remaining pages that usually match the design of the Homepage. At this stage you are welcome to continue making changes or alterations, but it is important all alterations are addressed before the Coding starts. Any changes or alterations requested to the layout or the design once Coding is underway may incur a further charge depending on the nature of the change or alteration.
Coding
When it is agreed the Design is complete and Coding can begin payment of half the total cost is required. This can be paid by cash, bank transfer or cheque. The remaining 50% shall be paid on completion of the site (including Coding) according to your initial brief. When the Coding of the site is complete and payment has cleared Eggy Web Design will help you launch your shiny new website and provide a copy of the site on disc for your backup files. This should be kept in a safe place.
Launching Your New Website
